Birdwatching in Illinois
We have many species of birds around the Wren House–both year round and migratory. Here is a list of a few we have seen recently:

Birdwatching along the Middlefork
Along the river (accessible by kayak or just by wading just 200 meters from the Wren House) you will experience wood ducks, herons, geese, kingfisher, to name just a few.
Illinois Woodpeckers
We have a host of woodpeckers–we encourage them by leaving dead trees standing and we feed a bit with suet.
